Sketches for The Dawn Herald
Here’s a couple of recent sketches for two of the illustrations I’m making for The Dawn Herald by L.B. Mara:
Perspective Tutorial for Professional Artist Magazine
Below is one of the illustrations I produced to accompany a tutorial in perspective drawing for the excellent Professional Artist Magazine: And here are my spreads from the piece, which was laid out beautifully by their designer. Illustrated Map for the Dawn Herald
I was recently commissioned by L.B Mara to illustrate a map and several watercolours for her absolutely excellent book, The Dawn Herald. Nicosia
The drawing above shows the Ledra street border in Nicosia, where you cross over into the Turkish occupied area of Cyprus. Although we’ve lived in Cyprus for three years now, this was my first visit to Nicosia and although I was aware of the circumstances surrounding the Green Line which divides the island, I hadn’t [...]
Cityscapes
I haven’t drawn enough cityscapes yet. The few I’ve done, I absolutely loved. The illustration of Westminster was created for the Pagefield website and was required to fit in with the illustration of the London Skyline I created earlier this year.
