Line drawing of the Abbey Church of Saint Foy in Conques, France. This was a popular stop for pilgrims traveling St. James’ Path to Santiago de Compostela, due to the site containing the remains of St. Foy, a 4th Century martyr.

What attracted me to this view of the Abbey was the way in which the trees and vegetation surround the building and frame the layout of the rooftops; it’s just one example of some of the utterly charming architecture to be found in France.
